Balancing life's roles can be both a joy and a challenge. Many people, especially women, feel tremendous pressure as they attempt to juggle multiple roles. Instead of having a sense of accomplishment, they feel guilty as they run out of energy and are uable to "do it all”.  Caregivers are at great risk of burnout. They spend so much of their time caring for others, they tend to neglect themselves and their own needs.  My best advice is to take care of yourself first.  Don't be afraid to ask for help from friends and family.  Consider joining a support group and reduce your burden by enlisting the professional assistance of a Geriatric Care Manager.
